Plans, artist research and reflections with regards to all my work produced in my second year of university.

I chose to use a narrator like voice to guide people to the area through a walk - I wanted the narrator to be the representation for all the life and forces that occur in and around the beach. The 'look for me' part was in order to draw people's attention to the elements that inhabit the beach as well as their response to their encounter with these elements.
You are here
Look to your left, your right
Take in where you are
Who you’re with
Turn to the right and walk as one body of people
Towards the end of the beach
Look for me,
Notice your surroundings,
See the large frame sculpture
On your right
And set of steps to your left
Just before the rocks
You all stop here. contemplate
How will it feel on your feet?
You descend down the steps
Feel the sand
Draw your attention to your feet
How do they feel?
Turn to your left and start walking
How many lines can you see in the horizon?
How low is the light?
you all walk
in the opposite direction you just came
How many tiers of sand can you see?
Where did these marks come from?
How long have they been there?
How long before they change again?
Lift your gaze to the curve of the beach
Where is the tide?
Is it visible?
You contemplate all these things
As you walk
Step by step
Follow the curve around the beach
You fall into your own rhythm
You adapted to the surface you move on
What can you see
Head for the concrete ramp on your right
What else has adapted here
Who has joined you?
About this space
So far removed
Continue in your established rhythm
Our beach walk has nearly ended
Reach the end of the beach
And when you do
Look behind you at what you added
The traces you all left behind
You’re now part of the process
You have been joined by your
