Katie is Loose sand and Mali is a Rock - this photo shows the contrast in weight speed and flow. Loose Sand's flow is free and her speed is quick, her weight is light. In contrast, Mali's weight is heavy with her head into the ground and she is stationary for a lot of the piece with a bound flow, meaning that she stays within her kinosphere for the duration of the piece, as a rock would, making her shape fairly immovable.

Here is a good example of all of the 'Characters' in close proximity. The weight flow and speed of everyone illustrates the spectrums of movement analysis. The weight and flow of movement determines the levels of the dancers - hence, Gravity, Rolling and Rock are close to the ground, Marker and Skylines are mid levels and Wind and Loose Sand are higher.
This illustrates levels again - Skylines is highest, Rolling in the middle and Rock at the bottom. The reason why I want these moments of us all being at contrasting speeds, weights and flows at all times is to try to amplify the constant flow of the environment and how constant change and reactions occur, showing the audience the whole picture and all of the contributing factors.
This illustrates Gravity interacting with the floor, Wind mid-spin and Loose Sand changing levels.
